You can schedule and send messages at any time from the Message Fans tab.
To create a targeted message, go to Community → Message Fans and use Targeting Parameters to define who will receive it. As you adjust your targeting, you’ll see estimated message costs update in real time.
To message fans who signed up for a Drop, select your Drop under targeting parameters. If you ran a multi-link Drop, a second drop-down will appear beside it, to select the specific event. You can create any targeting parameters using and/or criteria.
For example, you can also apply additional filters such as city, radius from the city center, and number of followers. Please note that filtering by number of followers will exclude fans who did not provide a social profile.
On the right side of the page, you will see the number of recipients, and the percentage of your total fanbase they represent. In order to comply with international business marketing laws, you may only send messages to individuals who opted-in to receive marketing messages.
To configure your delivery method, select one of the five options. To use a custom email template, select one or build a new one via Email Template. When using a template, the Message field will be used for SMS messages. If you'd like to include your message within the template, please add a {{confirmation_message}} tag in the email template.
When you click Confirm Direct Message you will see a modal summarizing total message recipients and associated costs. Click Send to continue.
Once you click Send, you will see both immediate and scheduled messages appear under Message History. To view aggregated message analytics, scroll right to view additional columns for recipient counts, message opens, and message clicks.
Hover over the row and click the Analytics button to view your recipient list, SMS replies to this specific message, and additional details.
If you need to cancel or edit a scheduled message, hover over the row!
