How to view organization's cumulative assessment results and how to interpret them

Your organization’s cumulative assessment data provides a visual representation of the workforce's overall competency. The chart is the essential tool to required gauge skill levels and development needs from your company's assessment data to make informed decisions.

Chart Checkbox Options

You can display corresponding results using the checkbox options to the right of the chart:

Compare Against (checkboxes):

  • Self Assessment: Compare the results with the participant’s own self assessment result.

  • Industry Average: Compare the results with the average scores in the industry.

  • Highest Result: Compare the results with the highest scores recorded.

  • Corporate Targets: Compare the results with organizational targets.

Include (checkboxes):

  • Improvement: Include in the results the areas where there has been improvement (green bar).

  • Declined: Include in the results the areas where there has been a decline (red bar).

Data Set Combinations and their Interpretation

Self Assessment and Improvement

The chart illustrates the correlation between individuals self-assessed confidence (grey bar) and demonstratable competence (blue + green bar) relating to specific topics. The green bar (if present) is an extension of the blue and indicates the amount of improvement seen from reassessments.

A close correlation between confidence and competency is ideal, whereas a significant discrepancy where confidence is high, and competence low represents a risk to an organization.

Mentoring and guidance from senior leadership is strongly suggested if personnel predominantly show ‘Cumulative Perception’ (perceived-confidence) that is greater than ‘Cumulative Results’ (measurable competence).

Corporate Targets and Improvement

The chart illustrates the average results (blue + green bar) relating to specific competencies. The green bar (if present) is an extension of the blue and indicates the amount of improvement seen from reassessments. The light blue band indicates the target range for an organizations average cumulative results.

Organization leadership typically desire to see workforce average results that fall in the target range (mid comprehension to mid application.

Attention is required anytime the average results of participating personnel (total bar length) do not extending into organization target area (light blue).

Industry Average and Improvement

The chart illustrates the average results (blue + green bar) relating to specific competencies. The green bar (if present) is an extension of the blue and indicates the amount of improvement seen from reassessments. The grey bar indicates the Industry average by competency.

Organization leadership typically desire to see workforce average results that match or exceeded the industry average.

Attention is desired if the average results of participating personnel (total bar length) is less than the correlating industry average.

Highest Results and Improvement

The chart illustrates the average results (blue + green bar) relating to specific competencies. The green bar (if present) is an extension of the blue and indicates the amount of improvement seen from reassessments. The grey bar indicates the peak or highest assessment results for that competency.

Organization leadership typically desire to see a peak assessment result to the far-right of application where there is a strong correlation to operational hazards.

Attention is desired if the peak (highest) assessment results from all participating personnel is not high application if the competency aligns with operational risks.
