Updated over a week ago

The Supply Chain Metrics feature provides a wealth of data and insights to help you assess and improve contractor performance.

Toggling on the Metrics Tab

Navigate to the Supply Chain Metrics page in your Cognisense account.

Click on the "Metrics" tab to view detailed performance data for your organizations.

Understanding the Available Metrics

You can analyze various aspects by utilizing the comparison checkbox on the right area:

  • Self Assessment - This metric shows the cumulative self-assessed level of competency of your supply chain.

  • Industry Average - This metric shows the industry average level of competency for similar organizations.

  • Highest Result - The highest demonstrated competency of all organizations in your supply chain.

  • Corporate targets - The target area of competencies. A DuPont study of SIFp incidents found that 100% of these events correlated directly with a leadership team that collectively had a 60-80% inflated self-assessment when compared against Cognisense assessment data.

  • Improvement - Recent improvements in cumulative competency.

  • Decline - Recent declines in cumulative competency, due to time-decay or regulatory changes affecting the jurisdictions of the organizations.

Using Metrics to Make Informed Decisions

With the insights gained from the metrics data, you can now make data-driven decisions about your supply chain.

Consider the following actions based on the metrics:

  • View data across your entire supply chain, group of suppliers, or specific to a site or project.

  • Pinpoint non-compliant organizations and send them notifications to help them improve.

  • Use the data to inform due diligence processes, contract renewals, performance evaluations, and resource allocation decisions.

Encouraging Contractor Data Sharing

To maximize the value of the Supply Chain Metrics feature, it's crucial to encourage your organizations to share their data.

Communicate the benefits of data sharing to your organizations, such as:

  • Access to benchmarking data and industry insights

  • Opportunities for performance improvement and growth

  • Strengthened partnerships and collaboration with your organization
