Overview

The Featured Apps dashboard widget can be used to display a curated gallery of sub-apps, selected by an app admin, in a Super App. This widget is great for showcasing selected sub-apps to your audience making them easily accessible to your users.

πŸ“Œ This widget is available for both mobile and web applications but is exclusive to customers who have a Cogniss Super App.

Step 1: Add the Featured Apps widget to your Dashboard

1. In Cogniss Creator, navigate to Dashboard in the left sidebar.

2. Click on Add new widget in the top right of the page.

3. In the Dashboard widgets library, search for the Featured Apps widget and click Add. Return to the Dashboard by clicking on the cross in the top right.

4. The Featured Apps widget will now be on your Dashboard and ready for you to configure as needed.

5. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

Step 2: Configure the Featured Apps widget

1. Click App and select your first featured sub-app from the dropdown.

2. Upload media is where you can upload a thumbnail image for your featured sub-app. For more guidance on how to create a Featured App thumbnail image, you can refer to the Image Guidelines article, where you can access a Canva template for this design.

3. Click Add app to select your next featured sub-app and repeat the previous steps.

4. Once you have added all of the sub-apps you want to display in your Featured Apps widget, click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

5. Open your super app to preview your Featured Apps widget and to test it works as expected.

πŸ’‘ Whilst it is possible to add up to thirty sub-apps in the Featured Apps dashboard widget, we recommend featuring no more than five to ten apps at any one time as users generally won't scroll through more than this.
