Note: You must have your own environment as an App Builder customer to have access to this feature.
Introduction
This guide demonstrates the process of duplicating your apps in the Cogniss Creator. The cloning app feature allows you to generate an exact copy of an app, enabling you to make edits to this duplicate without impacting the original app.
Step 1: Create and prepare the app you want to clone
Skip this step if you already have the selected app you want to clone.
You will need to first create the app you want to make a clone of.
Ensure that this app has the core features you want in an app. To create a new app, go to Cogniss Creator and click the Create new app button.
Step 2: Set your app as a template
To clone an app, you must designate the app you wish to duplicate as a template.
Go to Admin section from the drop-down tab.
(Your account needs to be a platform admin to access this. If you are not, contact the platform admin to make your account a platform admin)Follow the Two-factor Authentication Setup process to enter the Admin section.
Once you have access, go to the Apps tab, then the App List sub-category
Search for the app you want to set as a template for cloning
Select the app and enable the Template by ticking the box. Save changes.

To prepare your app for cloning, you need to designate it as a template. Locate your app in the App list, and activate the "Template" option. This action signals to the system that the app is eligible to serve as a template for cloning
Step 3: Designate the app as the sample creator app
Next, configure your app as the default creator app. This ensures that whenever a new app is created in your environment, the system will duplicate the app you have selected
In the Admin section, go to the Settings tab. This should take you to the Platform Setting section
Tick the Enable sample app. This will make the Sample Creator App list available
Search for your app under the Sample Creator App.

Step 4: Clone your app
Now that you have set up your app to be cloned, you can now
Go back to the Creator section and click the Create new app button.
Fill in the new cloned app details with the App name, description, and creator name.
Select "Start with a sample app" from the options
Create App and you have successfully made a copy of your app!
