You’re always in control of what gets included in student feedback.

Whether you're exporting to Google Classroom, PDF, or CSV, CoGrader lets you:

  • Select which feedback sections to include, such as Summary, Glow & Grow, Rubric, Comments, or Scores. Simply check ✅ or uncheck each section in the export settings menu (shown below) to tailor feedback to what you want students to see or what best fits your use case.

  • Choose specific students to receive feedback, or export for the entire class at once.

This makes it easy to tailor feedback to your teaching goals, whether you're sharing it with all students at once or sending targeted reflections to a select few.

Google Classroom

When you choose "Send to Google Classroom", feedback is inserted directly at the top of the student’s original document.

  • Students see it first, before their essay.

  • Includes the summary, Glow & Grow notes, rubric scores, and suggestions to “Think about it” depending on what you accept on the pre-export page

  • The original student essay appears below the feedback.

PDF Export

From the Export → Download PDFs menu, you can choose exactly what you want to include.

  • A ZIP file is downloaded containing one PDF per student.

  • PDFs include your selected sections: Summary, Glow/Grow, rubric, comments/highlights, and scores.

  • This is great for sharing via email.

    Print

The Print option opens a print preview of all selected feedback, formatted per student.

    • Ideal if you want to physically hand out printed feedback or save to PDF via your system’s print dialog.

    • Uses similar formatting options as PDF export but flows directly to a printer or print-to-PDF tool.

  • CSV Export

Choose "Download CSV" to get a spreadsheet-style export of all selected feedback.

    • Helpful for tracking growth across assignments or syncing with your gradebook.

    • Not designed for student reading and best for internal use.
