CoGrader makes it easy to export graded student work and feedback so you can share results directly with your students or download them for your own records. Whether you're using Google Classroom or need printable copies, CoGrader supports several export options with just a few clicks.

Where to Find the Export Option

  1. Go to your Assignment Dashboard.

  2. On the right-hand side of the screen, click the blue Export button.

  3. A dropdown will appear with 6 export options.

Export Options Explained

1. Send to Google Classroom (Two Methods)

CoGrader supports two ways to send feedback back to Google Classroom.

A. Overwrite on Google Classroom

  • Replaces the entire contents of the student’s Google Doc with CoGrader’s formatted feedback.

  • Best when you want a clean feedback document and do not need to preserve the student’s original text in the same file.

When prompted for file access:

  • Select Share files and grade (Grant Access)

  • Steps:

    1. Click Share files and grade.

    2. A Google file picker will open.

    3. Select the folder that contains the student submissions for this assignment
(Use Ctrl+A / Cmd+A to select all files at once).

    4. Confirm sharing when prompted.

    5. CoGrader will export feedback and grades with optimized formatting.

This allows CoGrader to properly format and replace the document.

B. Append on Google Classroom

  • Adds feedback to the student’s original work without deleting their content.

  • Best for preserving student writing while still attaching structured feedback.

When prompted for file access:

  • Select Skip and grade

🛈 Note: Only Approved submissions will be exported. If a student’s feedback is not finalized, you’ll need to approve it before sending.

2. Download PDFs

  • Downloads all student feedback and scores as individual PDFs.

  • Ideal if you need printed copies or want to email the files manually.

    How to use:

  • Click ExportDownload PDFs.

  • A zip file will be generated with one PDF per student submission.

3. Download DOCX

  • Works the same way as PDF export, but files are delivered as editable Word documents (.docx).

  • Ideal if you want to modify feedback after exporting.

How to use:

  1. Click Export → Download DOCX

  2. A ZIP file is generated with one DOCX per student

4. Download CSV

  • Exports a spreadsheet with students’ names, scores, and rubric-level feedback.

  • Useful for gradebook imports, recordkeeping, or further analysis.

    How to use:

  • Click ExportDownload CSV.

  • Open the CSV file in Excel or Google Sheets.

5. Print All

  • Opens all feedback in a print-friendly layout so you can print it in bulk.

  • Best for in-person classes or portfolios.

    How to use:

  • Click ExportPrint all.

  • Your browser’s print dialog will open with each student's feedback on a separate page.
