If you need to adjust a rubric you’ve already created, CoGrader makes it easy to update and save your changes. Follow these steps:
Open Rubrics & Answer Keys
From your dashboard, click the menu icon (three horizontal lines in the bottom-left corner).
Select Rubrics & Answer Keys from the menu.
Select the Rubric
From your rubric list, find the rubric you want to edit and click directly into the rubric name.
Make Your Edits
Update the rubric name if needed.
Edit or add criteria, levels, descriptions, and point values.
Switch between Fixed levels (same scale for all criteria) or Variable levels (each criterion can have its own scale).
Edit a Rubric From an Existing Assignment With the Rubric Agent
You can also use the Rubric Agent to update a rubric directly from an assignment you’ve already created.
Open the assignment that contains the rubric you want to update.
At the top of the assignment, find Rubric and click the pencil icon next to the rubric name.
3. Your current rubric will open. Click Edit in the top-right corner.
4. The rubric editor will open with the Rubric Agent on the right side.
5. In the chat box, tell the Rubric Agent what you’d like to change. For example, you can ask it to make the rubric more rigorous, make criteria more specific, simplify the language, add criteria, or adjust descriptions to better reflect how you grade.
6. Review the changes and continue chatting with the Rubric Agent until the rubric reflects what you want.
7. When you’re finished, click Save rubric at the top right.
Tip: Be specific about how you want the rubric changed. You can continue giving the Rubric Agent instructions and refining the rubric until the criteria and performance levels match your grading expectations.
Save Your Changes
When you’re done, click Save rubric at the top right.
Your updated rubric will now be available in your library for grading or sharing.
