CoGrader allows schools and districts to create shared rubrics that teachers can use across classes and assignments. This helps keep grading expectations consistent and saves teachers from having to recreate the same rubric individually.
If your school or district would like help setting this up, the CoGrader team can assist with the administrative side. Once the rubrics are available in your account, teachers can use them directly when grading.
For School or District Administrators
Step 1: Open the School and District Rubrics Area
From your CoGrader dashboard, open the section for managing school and district rubrics.
You may be able to access this from the dashboard or from the sidebar.
Step 2: Add a New Rubric
Click Add rubric.
You will be asked to choose where the rubric should be available. If you are a School Admin, it takes you straight to the upload step, as rubrics can only go to your school.
You can assign the rubric to:
Your District (If you are a district admin)
Your School (If you are a school admin)
Specific schools within a district (If you are a district admin)
You can also use the search option to find existing School or District Rubrics.
Step 3: Create the Rubric
Depending on your workflow, you can:
Build the rubric with the rubric agent
Import a rubric file
Create the rubric manually
Create with Standards
When the rubric is ready, save it.
Step 4: Review Where the Rubric Is Available
After saving, the rubric will show which school or district it belongs to.
You can use the school or district tags to confirm where teachers will be able to access it.
You can also update the rubric later if you need to make changes.
Available actions may include:
Edit the rubric
Add it to additional schools (District)
Make a copy
Download it as a PDF
Delete it
For Teachers
Teachers can find shared rubrics in the My rubrics and answer keys area.
Step 1: Open My Rubrics
From the sidebar, go to Rubrics and open My rubrics and answer keys.
Step 2: Identify the Rubric Type
Rubrics are labeled so you can tell where they came from.
You may see:
My Rubric for rubrics you created yourself
School Rubric for rubrics created for your school
District Rubric for rubrics created for your district
Step 3: Use the Rubric for Grading
Choose the school or district rubric you want to use and select it when grading an assignment.
School and district rubrics are shared for consistency, so teachers can use them but cannot edit them directly.
If you need a change made to a shared rubric, contact your school or district administrator.
