Eduphoria's Aware module lets you export student Constructed Response (ECR) submissions as a CSV. CoGrader's Assessment Platform can then import that CSV, automatically split responses by question, and grade them — without requiring you to approve each submission one by one.
There are two ways to export from Eduphoria, depending on your role:
Teacher export: exports your own class only
Admin export: exports all teachers and classes at once (recommended for district-level grading)
Log in to Eduphoria and open Aware
Log in to Eduphoria at your district's URL. From the home screen, click Aware to access student assessment data.
On the Reports page, locate and click Student Constructed Response Report
Export the CSV: Teacher Method
Use this if you are a teacher exporting your own class's responses.
On the Student Constructed Response Tool page, select the assessment that contains your ECR questions.
Your student responses will appear, organized by item number. If your assessment has multiple ECR questions, you will see them listed with different item numbers (e.g., Item 7 and Item 15).
Click the print icon in the top right corner.
Select Export CSV from the dropdown.
Save the CSV file to your computer.
Export the CSV: Admin Method
Use this to export responses from all teachers in a department or school at once. This is the recommended approach for district coordinators running TEKS Ready or EOY assessments.
Once inside the report, click the Testing Teachers filter to select the teachers whose responses you want to include.
Select all the teachers you want to include, then click Apply.
Click the print icon 🖨️ in the top right, then select Export CSV.
Tip: The admin export includes student name, school, and testing teacher columns.
Upload Submissions to CoGrader Classroom
1. Open CoGrader.
2. Click Grade + or Grade Essay > Create Manually
3. Enter the assignment name and prompt
4. Select or create a rubric, add Grading Parameters and Advanced Rules as desired
5. Upload to CoGrader
In your assignment setup, below Submissions, select Import from CSV.
Map “Student name” to the name field and “Assignment content” to submission content.
Click Import.
Now, each student’s submission will appear separately and be graded individually.
CoGrader will import the student work and begin grading automatically.
Upload to CoGrader's Assessment Platform
Go to assessment.cograder.com and log in.
Click Create New Assessment.
Fill in the assessment name, select your school, and choose the appropriate rubric for your first question.
If your assessment has more than one ECR question (e.g., a short response and an extended response), click Add Question to add a second question with its own rubric.
Once your assessment is set up, click Upload Student Responses and select your exported CSV.
Map the columns:
Set Student Name to the name field
Set Response 1 to the first question
Set Response 2 to the second question (if applicable)
Click Process Responses. CoGrader will automatically split responses by question and begin grading.
No roster required: The assessment platform matches students by name, so the Eduphoria CSV works without a roster connection.
Alternative: Copying Student Text From Eduphoria Responses
If you are unable to download the files:
Open Eduphoria and navigate to Student Responses.
Click on an individual student’s name.
Copy the response text.
In CoGrader, create the assignment without submissions.
Click on "Add Submissions", select "Add manually" then paste the student response. and repeat for all students.
This method takes longer but works when no file exports are available.
Review and Approve Grading in CoGrader
Once grading is complete:
Open each student submission in CoGrader.
Review the score and feedback.
Edit scores or comments if needed.
Click Approve when you’re ready to finalize.
Export Results from CoGrader
Once all students are approved, select Export.
