Learn how to import assignments from Google Classroom and provide feedback using CoGrader. This guide will walk you through the step-by-step process of importing assignments, reviewing student work, and providing feedback.
01 - In CoGrader's homepage, Click "Import from Google Classroom"
Click the "Import from Google Classroom Button"
02 - Click "Continue with Google"
Continue with Google to proceed.
03 - Choose your Google Account
Select the appropriate Google Account
04 - Click "Select all"
Select all the permissions necessary.
05 - Click "Continue"
Click continue to proceed.
06 - Click to select a google classroom class
Click on the desired classroom class.
07 - And then pick an assignment
And then choose an assignment.
08 - Pick an adequate document
CoGrader currently supports essays and open ended questions, and is designed for "one prompt - one answer". So that means you should pick an assignment that has a Google Docs document attached to it, and is the answer to a single prompt.
09 - Click "Import assignment"
Import the assignment.
10 - Check the prompt
Make sure the prompt of the assignment is concise but provides enough context for CoGrader. If it wasn't imported, type it down now. There are instructions on how to write the prompts in this page.
11 - Then go to the next step
Proceed to the next step.
12 - Pick one of our pre-built rubrics to test (and customize it later)
You can pick one of our pre-built rubrics to test. I recommend customizing it later, after your first grading.
13 - Click "Next"
Proceed to the next step.
14 - Add "Extra instructions"
You can optionally provide additional instructions.
15 - Add extra grading instructions
You can ask for specific feedback here. Or to grade in a certain way. For instance: "Provide feedback focused on figurative language. The student MUST use dialog."
16 - Click "Import"
Import the assignment.
17 - Click "Start reviewing"
Begin reviewing the assignments.
18 - Click "View grade"
You can click the button to "View Grade"
19 - Click edit the feedback
And then, edit the feedback. Remember, the teacher is always on the driver's seat.
20 - Click "Save" after editing
Save your changes.
21 - Click to edit the grade
And the edit the suggested grade.
From "Developing"...
To "Proficient".
24 - Click "Save"
Save your changes.
