Having Trouble Grading a Submission?
If you see an error like “Can’t Grade, Change the permission settings of the doc,” it means CoGrader wasn’t able to access the student’s file.
This usually happens because:
You’re signed into the wrong Google account
The file’s owner hasn’t granted you permission
Your Google Workspace Admin Console has Drive or Classroom services turned off
How to Fix It:
Sign in to the correct Google account, especially if you have both a school and a personal account open.
Ask the file owner to give you Editor access or change the sharing settings.
If you're part of a school-managed Google account, check with your IT team to make sure Google Drive and Classroom are enabled in the Admin Console.
Once these are resolved, you should be able to proceed with grading.
