In this guide, you will learn how to create a class and assignments manually using the Cograder.

1. Click "Create class"

Create a new class by clicking on the "Create class" button.

Click 'Create class'

2. Add the class name

Enter the desired name for the class by clicking on the "Class name" field.

Enter the desired name for the class by clicking on the "Class name" field.

4. Click "Create"

Create the class by clicking on the "Create" button.

Click 'Create'

5. Click "Create assignment"

Start creating an assignment by clicking on the "Create assignment" button.

Click 'Create assignment'

6. Add the name of the assignment

Enter the name of the assignment in the designated field.

7. Click "Create"

Create the assignment by clicking on the "Create" button.

Click 'Create'

8. Fill the assignment instructions

Provide the instructions for the assignment in the designated field. Make sure to be concise, yet include all the information necessary. If you have specific instructions for your students in the assignment prompt, make sure to delete those.

9. Click "Next"

Proceed to the next step by clicking on the "Next" button.

Click 'Next'

10. Select a rubric from the library.

Open the Rubric Library to select your Rubric.

Select a rubric from the library.

11. Click "Universal Rubric 1"

Select the Rubric that matches the assignment.

Click 'Universal Rubric 1'

12. Click "Next"

Move to the next step by clicking on the "Next" button.

Click 'Next'

13. Add Extra Instructions, if needed

Anything you want CoGrader's AI to pay attention to and is not described in the assignment prompt or the rubric, you can add here.

14. Click "Save assignment"

Save the assignment by clicking on the "Save assignment" button.

Click 'Save assignment'
