Transferring Crypto: From Swyftx to Coinstash

Moving your digital assets from Swyftx to Coinstash is a multi-step process designed for maximum security. Because both are Australian-regulated exchanges, you'll need to complete several layers of verification to authorize the transfer.

Updated over 2 months ago

Phase 1: Find Your Coinstash Wallet Address

  1. Open Deposits: Click the Deposit button on your Coinstash dashboard.

  2. Select Crypto: Choose Crypto and press Next.

  3. Search Your Asset: Select the coin you want to move (e.g., BTC, ETH, SOL).

    • Note: If you see "No coins found," it may be a trading-only asset. Learn more here.

  4. Choose the Network: Select the correct blockchain network (e.g., ERC-20, BEP-20, or Solana).

  5. Copy Address: Click the Copy icon next to the wallet address.

Phase 2: Add & Verify the Address on Swyftx

Swyftx requires you to "whitelist" new addresses before you can send funds to them.

  1. Go to Withdraw: Click Withdraw in the Swyftx side menu.

  2. Select Asset: Search for the coin you are transferring.

  3. Add Address: Click Add a new address.

    • Nickname: Enter "My Coinstash Wallet."

    • Address: Paste your Coinstash wallet address.

    • Network: Ensure this matches exactly with the network you selected on Coinstash.

  4. Authorise: You will be prompted to enter an SMS code and click a verification link sent to your email.

  5. Wallet Verification (If Required): Swyftx may ask for a screenshot of your Coinstash wallet to prove you own the destination account. Learn how to take this screenshot here.

Phase 3: Finalise the Withdrawal

  1. Select Address: Once verified, select your "My Coinstash Wallet" from the withdrawal screen.

  2. Enter Amount: Choose how much you want to send and provide a reason for the withdrawal (e.g., "Transfer to personal exchange").

  3. Complete 2FA: Enter your 6-digit Authenticator app code (or SMS) and confirm the final email prompt to broadcast the transaction.

πŸ›‘οΈ Critical Security Reminders

  • Matching Networks: If you send crypto via the wrong network (e.g., sending Ethereum via the BNB Chain when Coinstash expects ERC-20), your funds will likely be permanently lost.

  • Memo/Tags: Certain coins like XRP, XLM, or ATOM require a Memo or Destination Tag. If Coinstash provides one, you must include it in the Swyftx withdrawal screen or your funds will not be credited.

  • Tier 1 Status: Your Coinstash account must be at least Tier 1 verified to receive any incoming crypto deposits.
