Transferring Crypto: From CoinSpot to Coinstash

Moving your assets from CoinSpot to Coinstash is a straightforward process, but it requires careful attention to the blockchain network to ensure your funds arrive safely.

Updated over 2 months ago

Phase 1: Find Your Coinstash Wallet Address

Before you leave the Coinstash app or website, you need to generate your unique "receive" address.

  1. Open Deposits: Click or tap the Deposit button on your dashboard.

  2. Select Crypto: Choose Crypto and press Next.

  3. Search Your Asset: Find the cryptocurrency you want to receive (e.g., BTC, ETH, or USDT).

    • Note: If you see "No coins found" or "Request Deposit Address," our manual deposit protocol may be required. Learn more here.

  4. Choose the Network: This is the most critical step. Select the blockchain network you wish to use.

  5. Copy Address: Scan the QR code or click the Copy icon to save your wallet address to your clipboard.

Phase 2: Withdraw from CoinSpot

Now, head over to your CoinSpot account to "push" the funds to Coinstash.

  1. Go to Wallets: Click Wallets in the top menu and open the specific wallet for the asset you’re moving.

  2. Initiate Send: Click Send in the left-hand sidebar.

  3. Select Network: Ensure the network you select on CoinSpot matches exactly with the one you chose on Coinstash.

  4. Enter Amount & Address: Paste your Coinstash wallet address into the recipient field. Always copy-paste; never type it out manually.

  5. Security Check: Click Send SMS Code, enter the 6-digit code provided, and then click Send.

  6. Confirm via Email: CoinSpot usually requires one final confirmation via an email link. Open your inbox and click the link to authorize the withdrawal.

🛡️ Critical Security Reminders

  • Matching Networks: If you send an ERC-20 token (Ethereum network) to a BEP-20 address (Binance Smart Chain), your funds will likely be permanently lost. Both "Send" and "Receive" must be on the same blockchain.

  • Case Sensitivity: Wallet addresses are case-sensitive strings. A single wrong character means the funds go to a different address.

  • Confirmation Times: Once sent, your crypto isn't instant. It must be confirmed by the blockchain network. You can track the progress using the Transaction Hash (TXID) provided in your CoinSpot withdrawal history.

  • Verification: Ensure your Coinstash account is at least Tier 1 verified; otherwise, the platform cannot accept your incoming deposit.
