Choosing the Right Site Report

The reports available on every site, what question each one answers, and why two of them may not appear for you.

Description: The reports available on every site, what question each one answers, and why two of them may not appear for you.

Overview

Every site has its own set of reports, covering inspection history, corrective actions, weather and map changes.

This article lists what's on a site and what each report is for.

Where to Find Them

  1. Open the site.

  2. Scroll to the Reports section, below Documentation.

What Each Report Answers

Report

Use it when you need

Action Log Report

The full record of corrective actions at this site — what was opened, when it was closed, and by whom.

Site Activity Report

Everything that happened at the site over a period, on a calendar. Good for "what went on here last month?"

Missed Inspections Report

Inspections whose window closed before anyone started them. Your compliance-gap list.

Map History Report

How the site map changed over time — what was drawn, moved or marked complete.

Weather Events Report

The weather alerts this site received and when. Use it to show why a weather-triggered inspection happened.

Site Hourly Precipitation Report

Hour-by-hour rainfall measured at this site's location.

7 Day Forecast Archive

What the forecast said on a given day — useful when someone asks why a forecast alert fired.

Two Reports Depend on Your Plan

📝 Site Hourly Precipitation Report and 7 Day Forecast Archive only appear when those features are enabled for your organization. If you can't see them, that's why — not a permissions problem and not a fault.

Contact ComplianceGo support if you need them turned on.

The other five appear on every site.

Related Places to Look

Two things sit near the reports and are easy to confuse with them:

  • Inspection History — under Inspections and Action Items, not under Reports. Use it to open past inspections and their reports.

  • Inspections Calendar — a calendar view of what's due, in progress, late, completed or missed. Better than a report when the question is "when", not "what".

Picking the Right One

A few common questions and where they're answered fastest:

The question

The report

"Prove this site was inspected after the storm."

Weather Events Report, then Inspection History

"What corrective actions are outstanding?"

Action Log Report

"Did we miss anything this quarter?"

Missed Inspections Report

"How much rain actually fell here?"

Site Hourly Precipitation Report

"Why did an inspection open before it rained?"

7 Day Forecast Archive

"When was that control added to the map?"

Map History Report

FAQ

Q: A report I expected isn't listed.

A: It's probably one of the two plan-dependent ones — Site Hourly Precipitation Report or 7 Day Forecast Archive. Contact ComplianceGo support about enabling it. The other five appear on every site.

Q: A report is empty.

A: Nothing has been recorded at this site for that period. Widen the date range, or check you're on the site you meant.

Q: The Missed Inspections Report shows more than I expected.

A: Every occurrence whose window closed before anyone started it appears here, including ones you may think of as superseded. Cross-check against the site's inspection groups — see Understanding Inspection Statuses.

Q: I need this across many sites, not just one.

A: These are site-level reports. Organization-level reporting is run from the organization's own reports area.

Q: Which report proves we inspected after a storm?

A: Use the Weather Events Report to show the alert, then Inspection History to show the inspection that followed it.
