If you are looking to add a new SKU to a Planning Group, see guide here.
If you are looking to leverage Confido Forecast Recommendations, see guide here.
There are three options for updating expected distribution changes for existing products within a given planning group: Directly in the forecast, Via the Update Distribution Quick Action, or using the Bulk Update feature
How to Update Distribution via Quick Actions:
Navigate to the Home page in Confido via the left-hand navigation bar
Click on the Update Distribution quick action button
Input the required key information into the pop-up window, including
Retailer (based on your Planning Groups in Confido)
Product(s) that you are expecting a change on distribution for at the selected Retailer
Number of Stores that you now expect to carry the product
Effective date (when will the change in distribution take place)
After inputting all information, Confido will show you a draft view of the proposed changes to allow you to review before saving
After reviewing, click Update Stores and the changes will be automatically implemented in your Confido forecast
How to Update Distribution Directly in the Forecast:
Within your forecast, navigate to the specific Retailer and drill down to the forecast drivers for the product you want to update
Click on the Stores field in the week that you expect distribution to change and input the new store count
After entering the new store count, the Apply Change Through window will appear. You can choose Apply to All to update the store count for all future weeks after the one you are adjusting, or use the dropdown to select a specific week through which the change will apply
Click Accept to apply the changes
How to Make Bulk Updates to Distribution in the Forecast:
Caution: Making bulk updates is not often recommended as Product velocities/store counts can often differ within or across Planning Groups. Only leverage this feature if your confident changes will be aligned across the dimensions you select (i.e., a full product family is getting into the same number of stores at a retailer).
Click on the Bulk Update button above the forecast
Input the Filter Rows you want to bulk update, which should include:
Product Matching Type: Do you want to bulk update by product name, product family, or product attribute?
Products that you want to update based on the Matching Type selected
Customer Matching Type: Do you want to update by Planning Group, Global Customer, or Planning Group Attribute?
Planning Groups you want to update based on the Matching Type selected
Input the Update Settings, which should include:
Effective Date (the date the changes will take effect in the forecast)
Update Stores: Select the check box and input the new number of stores (this will apply to all products/planning groups selected)
