The dashboards in Analytics give you the critical metrics you rely on to spot changes and trends in data and proactively address potential issues and opportunities.
Default dashboards
You can access the Analytics dashboards from the left-hand navigation. Depending on the data you have available, the default dashboards may include Production, Feed, Reproduction, Health, Behavior, and more. You can use the dashboards as they are, customize them by adding or editing charts, drag and drop charts to your preferred order, or create your own custom dashboards.
Viewing charts
Select a dashboard at the top to view charts with your farm data.
Click on a chart to expand it. You can add filters to view specific groups, pens, lactation groups, etc., or change the timeframe to focus on the data most relevant for you. The Events toggle lets you view events added on the Farm timeline overlaid on the chart, to provide more context on changes.
Add or Edit chart and Save to dashboard
Want to change the chart settings and save it to a dashboard? Click the Edit icon in the top corner of the chart and it will open in editable mode. Now you can change the time period, select a different data source, or view data per pen or group. Don’t forget to click Save to dashboard when you’re done.
Or use the Add chart button at the top to select a metric. Search by typing in the name or browse through the available metrics. Add your preferred settings and save it to one of your dashboards.
Compare charts and spot correlations
Want to check for dependencies or correlations between metrics? Click on Compare charts to view two or more charts on a single screen. Or simply click on a chart to expand it and add other metrics below for comparison.
For example, open the Temperature Humidity Index chart alongside the Eating a Ruminating chart, select custom dates to view the summer months and analyze the impact of weather conditions on the herd’s behavior.
When you open a chart, the Platform also suggests other metrics with possible correlations, saving you valuable time spent sifting through data. Add correlated metrics to your comparison to spot dependencies and understand where interventions may be most efficient.
Anomalies and missing data
You may notice gaps or dotted lines on some charts. That’s how the app signals missing data and irregularities picked up by Connecterra’s anomaly detection model. It automatically replaces faulty data points with a dotted line, helping you exclude them from your analysis. Want to see the original data? Simply click on the eye icon at the bottom.
What is Beta
You may also see a box that says Beta next to the chart name. This indicates a first version of a metric or feature that is still in testing. Your feedback on these metrics is especially valuable, so please don’t hesitate to reach out via Support and chat.
