Track the Fax adds a QR barcode to sent faxes, automatically identifying the returned copy of the fax upon receipt.
Using Track the Fax
Navigate to Release.
Select the blue New Release button.
Complete message details and click Send.
When the confirmation modal opens, select Track Fax Responses (barcode).
Note: The QR barcode is placed in the lower-right corner of the attachment.
Note: Track the Fax will only be visible on the message release screen when the destination (to) address is a fax number.
Using Track the Fax in Desktop
Begin a new release in Desktop by printing, dragging and dropping, or browsing to an attachment.
Complete message details and click Send.
When the Send Release confirmation modal opens, select Track Fax Responses (barcode).

Tracked Conversations
The sent fax is tracked from Notifications ("bell" icon) > Tracked Conversations tab.
The sent fax's status is Pending.
When the recipient replies, the fax's status updates to ResponseReceived.
Note: Times listed in Universal Coordinated Time (UTC).
Returned/Responded Fax
The received fax is located in My Intake where it can be processed according to your workflow.
The QR barcode will be read from the first page found in the incoming fax.
Patient Details fields are populated with the inbound fax in My Intake.
Adding Track the Fax to Release Types
Releases can automatically check the box to add the barcode. Admins may create or edit Releases from Configure Releases; check the Track Fax Responses box to default Track Fax Responses (barcode) to a checked state for faxes sent using this Release. Note: Track Fax Responses (barcode) can be unchecked by the user if a barcode is not needed for the fax they are sending.
