Convenient Checkout: an overview of the CopeCart payment methods

  • Credit card

We accept any credit and debit cards supported by Mastercard or Visa. By enabling this convenient payment method, we can offer support for popular options such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Microsoft Pay. With these seamless integrations, shopping with us is now easier than ever before - just a few clicks, and they are all set!

  • PayPal

We have also integrated PayPal as one of the leading digital payment methods. Your customers can pay securely and conveniently via their PayPal accounts, offering additional flexibility.

  • Bank Transfer (including wire transfers, ACH, and SWIFT payments)

This option is an alternative when your customers don't have a credit card available for their purchases but cannot miss the chance to buy your product or service.

  • Klarna

Klarna offers you and your customers a flexible payment option, including "purchase on account" and "installment purchase." This allows your customers to receive the products first and then pay at their own pace, giving them financial freedom. Please note that Klarna only works for customers in the US. The maximum price (gross) for a product using Klarna is up to $10,000, subject to approval by the creditor. Learn more about Klarna by clicking here.

  • Affirm

Affirm is similar to Klarna, it gives your customers the freedom to receive their products first and pay at their convenience. The highest cost (gross) for a product when using Affirm is up to $30,000, subject to approval by the creditor. Please keep in mind that Affirm is only available for customers in the US and Canada.

At CopeCart, the protection of your payment information is paramount. The use of cutting-edge encryption technologies and strict adherence to comprehensive security measures backs our commitment to your confidence and peace of mind during transactions. We prioritize your trust and safety above all.

We are constantly looking for more payment methods to broaden the selection of choices for our customers.

Refund policy

We highly recommend that vendors provide a minimum return window of 14 days (or 30 as an alternative) starting from the delivery date. Customers can request a return or exchange for eligible items during this time.

By offering a minimum 14-day return period, we aim to address customer concerns and resolve issues directly, reducing the likelihood of chargebacks. It allows us to maintain a positive relationship with our customers, preventing them from resorting to chargebacks as a last resort to resolve disputes.

If your company does not offer refunds for any reason, please get in touch with our support team at help@copecart.com to inquire about the process for implementing a no-refund policy for your products. Please remember this will need to be approved, and you must provide additional details about your business.

Free trial period

You also have the option to activate a trial period for a product. This option is deactivated by default. Please note that customers can use your product free of charge during the trial period. Therefore, payment for the product is only made after the trial period has expired. You can set the trial period to a period between 1 and 30 days.

Payment plans

You can choose between three payment methods:

  1. One-time payment: The total amount for the product is paid once and immediately.

  2. Subscription: The customer is billed for the amount after specified time intervals.

  3. Installment: The product price is divided into several payments.

It is possible to activate several payment plans so that the customer can select the most favorable plan for him/her.

FAQ

Why did the payment through Affirm fail?

  • The customer doesn’t have an Affirm account.

  • They may have abandoned the link to authorize the payment

  • Their limit with Affirm may be lower than the amount they are attempting to pay.

How can they pay through Affirm?

  • They need to create an account with Affirm and validate it before trying to complete the purchase.

Customers can pay their next installment or subscription with a different credit card only when the initial payment was also with a credit card. Payments made through PayPal, bank transfer, etc. cannot be changed to different payment options.

What are the available payment methods for the payment plans?

  • Credit Cards and PayPal: These methods can be used for one-time payments, installment plans, and subscriptions, giving customers flexibility and convenience.

  • Bank Transfers: This option is reserved exclusively for one-time payments. It's a great fit for those who prefer direct transactions from their bank accounts for single purchases.

  • Klarna and Affirm: These services are available for one-time payments only. When using Klarna or Affirm, the creditor pays the full purchase amount upfront. Any arrangements for paying in installments are then made directly between the customer and the financing service, offering an alternative way to manage large expenses.
