Special features
There are the following special features regarding the payment methods:
SOFORT is not available for subscription and installment plans.
Invoice is not compatible with subscription.
Invoice is not available for upsells.
Good to know: CopeCart has set a payment limit for SEPA/ direct debit to minimize risk. If the total amount of the order exceeds 500 EUR, SEPA cannot be selected as a payment method. If the price of your product exceeds 500 EUR, please contact CopeCart support team and ask to remove the SEPA limit.
The team will adjust the SEPA payment limit in your account settings.
Processing times for each payment method
The individual payment methods have different processing times by the various credit institutions and payment service providers.
With the payment method "SOFORT-Überweisung", the payment is confirmed immediately, but the actual payment is only made when the payment provider "SOFORT" has actually received it. This usually takes 1-2 business days, but can be delayed up to 14 days in exceptional cases.
For a SEPA direct debit, the payment confirmation takes an average of 6 business days.

Apple Pay/Google Pay/Microsoft Pay: pay with 1 click
If you have enabled the "Credit/Debit Card" payment method in your product, it will allow your customers to pay with Apple Pay/Google Pay/Microsoft Pay (if one of these payment systems is pre-configured on the buyer's devices).
Vendors should note, however, that orders paid with Google Pay/Apple Pay/Microsoft Pay will not be specifically marked (credit card will be considered a payment method) as buyers pay with their card via Google Pay/Apple Pay/Microsoft Pay.
Upsells/Addons
An addon is always included in the order with the main product. The buyer cannot pay for the addon separately, so the payment of the addon is processed together with the payment of the main product. This results in the total amount paid for the purchase.
The payment plan of the addon represents the payment method for the entire order.
An upsell, on the other hand, is processed as a separate order and is not included in the order with the main product. This means that the upsell order has its own transaction and order ID.

Changing the payment method
In case of a failed payment, the payment method can be changed.
