Overview

Corksy uses a third party called PrintNode for receipt printing services. PrintNode is a hardware-agnostic solution which allows you to print receipts seamlessly from the Corksy POS.

Hardware requirements

  • A laptop or desktop computer is required on-site to run PrintNode.

  • Corksy supports these Star and Epson receipt printers:

    • Epson TM-T20III if you plan to connect the printer via an ethernet cable, or to plug it in directly to your laptop/desktop

    • Star TSP-143IIIW if you plan to connect the printer via WiFi

Connectivity and software requirements

  • Your laptop or desktop computer must be able to recognize and connect to the receipt printer via WiFi, Ethernet, or direct cable connection.

  • Your laptop or desktop computer must be able to download and run the PrintNode client software:

Verifying the printer connection

To test if your receipt printer is connected to your computer:

  1. Check the Connection: Ensure the printer is properly plugged in via USB or Ethernet, or is connected to WiFi, and powered on.

  2. Install Printer Driver: Confirm that the correct driver is installed on your computer.

    1. Drivers for the Epson printer can be found here

    2. Drivers for the Star printer can be found here

  3. Print a Test Page:

    • On Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and select Printer Properties > Print Test Page.

    • On macOS: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and click Open Print Queue > Print Test Page.

  4. Run a Printer Self-Test (Optional): Many receipt printers can self-test by holding down the feed button while powering on. Check your printer manual for instructions.

If it prints successfully, your connection is working! If not, check cables, drivers, or printer settings.
