Ensure the PrintNode Client App is Running Correctly

  1. Locate the PrintNode Client:

    • Look for the PrintNode icon in your computer’s taskbar (Windows) or menu bar (Mac). It may appear as a small icon with the PrintNode logo.

    • If you don’t see it, the app might not be running.

  2. Start the PrintNode Client:

    • On Windows:

      • Press the Windows key, type "PrintNode," and select the app from the list to open it.

    • On Mac:

      • Use Spotlight (Cmd + Space), type "PrintNode," and press Enter to launch it.

  3. Log In:

    • Make sure you are logged into the PrintNode Client using the correct account credentials. This account should match the one used in the PrintNode Dashboard.

  4. Check for Connection Issues:

    • If the app is running but the printer is not showing up, confirm that the computer is connected to the internet.

    • Restart the PrintNode Client if needed:

      • Close the app completely (right-click the icon and select Quit or Exit).

      • Relaunch the app.

  5. Verify the Printer in PrintNode Client:

    • Open the PrintNode Client and check the list of printers. The receipt printer should appear here.

    • If it’s not listed:

      • Ensure the printer is properly connected to the computer (via USB, network, or Bluetooth).

      • Confirm the printer is installed on the computer (via Control Panel > Devices and Printers on Windows or System Preferences > Printers & Scanners on Mac).

  6. Check the Status:

    • The PrintNode Client app should show a status like “Online.” If it shows “Offline,” there may be an issue with the computer’s internet connection or PrintNode configuration.

Additional Tips

  • Update the Client App:

    • Make sure you are using the latest version of the PrintNode Client. Check the PrintNode website for updates if necessary.

  • Reinstall the App:

    • If the app doesn’t work correctly after restarting, try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

By keeping the PrintNode Client running and properly connected, it ensures that the receipt printer can receive print jobs from your application. If you require additional assistance, please reach out to support@corksy.io.
