Receipts Stopped Printing

If your receipts were printing previously but have stopped, follow these steps to get things working again.

1. Confirm Your Computer is Connected to the Printer

Before checking PrintNode or Corksy settings, ensure the computer is connected to the printer and it can successfully print a test page.

On Windows:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers

  • Find your printer (e.g., Epson TM-T20III or Star TSP143IIIW)

  • Right-click and select Print Test Page

On Mac:

  • Open System Settings > Printers & Scanners

  • Select the printer

  • Click Options & Supplies > Utility > Print Test Page

If the test print does not work:

  • Check cables or WiFi connection

  • Restart the printer and your computer

  • Reinstall the correct driver

  • Try a different USB port or network

If the test page still fails, contact your printer manufacturer directly:

If the test page prints successfully, continue below.

2. Check PrintNode Client Status

  • Locate the PrintNode icon in your system tray (Windows) or top menu bar (Mac)

  • Click the icon to open the PrintNode app

Note: PrintNode does not open from your Applications or Start Menu. It must be accessed from the background bar.

3. Verify the Printer is Listed in PrintNode

  • Open the PrintNode client

  • Make sure your printer appears under Available Printers

  • If it doesn’t:

4. Restart PrintNode

  • Right-click the PrintNode icon

  • Select Quit PrintNode

  • Reopen the app from the tray or menu bar

5. Verify the Printer is Connected to the Corksy POS User

Each Corksy POS user must have a printer assigned to their user account. To check:

  • Log into Corksy POS

  • Go to ☰ Menu > Settings > Printer Settings

  • Ensure the correct Printer ID and API key are entered

  • Verify your user account is assigned to that printer

Without this step, printing will not work—even if everything else is correctly set up.

6. Test Print from Corksy POS

  • From the Printer Settings page, click Print Test Receipt

If everything looks right but receipts still don’t print, contact hardwaresupport@corksy.io and include:

  • A screenshot of your PrintNode app

  • A screenshot of Corksy POS printer settings

  • Your printer model and connection method (USB, WiFi, or Ethernet)

Computer Won’t Connect to the Printer

If your computer doesn’t detect the printer at all:

  1. Recheck USB, Ethernet, or WiFi connections

  2. Restart both the printer and the computer

  3. Try different ports or cables

  4. Reinstall the correct driver

  5. Confirm the printer shows up in your system settings

Follow full connection steps here: Connecting Epson & Star Printers (Windows/Mac)

If you still can't connect, please contact your printer's support team:

Receipts Are Printing Too Small

If your receipts are printing with tiny text or compressed formatting:

1. Adjust Corksy POS Settings

  • Go to ☰ Menu > Settings > Printer Settings

  • Try changing the page size

2. Adjust PrintNode Preferences

  • Open the PrintNode client

  • Select your printer

  • Look for print scaling, margin, or paper size options

Settings vary by printer model and operating system

3. Check System-Level Printer Settings

  • On your computer, open printer settings

  • Make sure the default paper size is set to 72mm or Receipt
