Supported PAX Terminal Models

Corksy supports the following PAX terminal models for POS transactions:

  • PAX A80

  • PAX A77

  • PAX A800

  • PAX A920Pro

How to Connect a Terminal to WiFi

Before Corksy can complete setup, the terminal must be powered on and connected to WiFi.

Steps:

  1. Plug the terminal into a power outlet

  2. Turn on the device (check for a plastic tab on the battery)

  3. Slide down from the top of the screen to open the system menu

  4. Tap the Settings icon

  5. Select the correct WiFi network and ensure it connects successfully

If prompted for a password, use the PAX default password: pax9876@@

What to Send Corksy to Begin Setup

Once the terminal is powered on and connected to WiFi:

  • Email the terminal’s serial number to hardwaresupport@corksy.io

  • The serial number is typically printed on the back or bottom of the terminal

  • This is required so the Corksy team can install necessary apps and update the firmware

What Happens Next

After Corksy installs the required apps:

  • Corksy will create Terminal User accounts for each connected device in your Corksy POS portal

  • Each Terminal User account’s login credentials will include the last 3 digits of that terminal’s serial number

These Terminal User accounts are used to log into the Corksy POS from the device.

Test Login and Transaction

Once your Terminal User credentials are active:

  1. Log into the Corksy POS Cashier using the provided Terminal User login

  2. Complete a test transaction in the POS

  3. Use the connected PAX terminal to accept payment

  4. If prompted for a PIN, you may use any PIN assigned to a POS user to attribute the sale to that employee
