Introduction
Communities, or Circles, are powerful ways to bring your audience together in one interactive space.
Whether you’re running a free group or building a paid community, CCK makes it easy to manage members, monitor engagement, and customise the look and feel of each space. This guide walks you through accessing, setting up, and managing your CCK community.
Access the Community Dashboard
Log in to your CCK builder and go to the Community tab at the top of your screen.
Here, you’ll find the Community Dashboard, where you can view and manage all your communities (or Circles).
You’ll see helpful statistics, as well as sections for your:
Circles.
Members.
Moderation.
Settings.
View and Manage Existing Communities
Under Circles, you’ll see a list of the communities you’ve already created.
Click on any community to:
Open and view its pages.
Check member progress (e.g., whether someone has completed a video or page).
See which content has been completed and when.
This is especially useful to track learning progress across your programmes.
Create a New Community or Circle
Go to Circle Settings within the Community section.
Depending on your plan:
Starter Plan: 1 circle, up to 1,000 members.
Growth Plan: Up to 10 circles, with 5,000 members.
To add a new community, click Create, name your circle, and adjust your settings. (The detailed setup of a new circle is covered in a separate video.)
Manage Community Members
Click on Members to view all participants.
Select a member to view their profile and activity.
See which circles they’ve joined, which pages they’ve completed, and whether they’ve made any payments.
Remove a member from a circle by clicking the small cross (you’ll get a confirmation pop-up).
You can also assign members to circles manually by clicking Assign to Circle.
Use the Moderation Panel
The Moderation tab is your central hub for managing all comments across your platform, including:
Video comments.
Blog posts.
Wall posts and reviews.
You can reply directly and set the admin name and avatar shown in replies under Settings.
Customise Your Community URL
Each circle has its own unique URL. To find it:
Go to the Communities section of your website.
Click on Settings.
Look under the URL section to see or edit the last part of the link (e.g., /start).
Update the Circle Page Template
To customise how your community pages look:
Go to Settings in your Community section.
Under the Circle Page Template section, click Customise and edit the page.
Here, you can:
Show or hide the page header.
Resize the content container (boxed or full-width).
Choose between your main site header or an alternative, cleaner header.
Preview the changes before saving.
These design changes apply to the default layout, but each individual circle can also have its own branding and layout (explored in the next guide).
Additional Tips
Free communities will show zero revenue until a price is set.
Layout changes like full width vs. boxed affect all community pages unless overridden per circle.
Only logged-in users will be able to see and interact with your content.
Conclusion
Now that you’ve got an overview of how to create and manage your CCK community or circle, go ahead and explore the dashboard.
