INTRODUCTION
Feature Summary: A widget in CourtReserve is an embeddable tool that allows clubs to display certain live, interactive CourtReserve features directly on their website or other platforms, such as a tablet or smart TV at the front desk.
Use Cases:
Embed a live court scheduler for easy booking access by members and guests.
Display an events calendar or events list for upcoming classes, clinics, and tournaments.
Show real-time lobby views on facility monitors to display who’s playing and when.
Offer an availability snapshot to help players see open court times quickly.
Provide a reservation list for easy visibility of scheduled bookings.
In this Article
NAVIGATION
Log in to the admin dashboard.
Click SETTINGS on the side menu.
Scroll down to the WIDGET row heading.
Select the Widget Type you’d like to create or manage by clicking the blue icons.
Create a Widget
Click the green Create Widget button to get started.
While some fields may vary slightly based on the Widget Type, the following fields are common to most widget setups and are outlined below:
Widget Type: Select which type of widget to create (e.g. Events Calendar, Courts Scheduler, Member Registration, etc.). Each are defined below.
Name: The internal name for the widget. Helps identify and organize your widgets inside the admin portal.
Hide Title Bar: Option to remove the widget’s title bar entirely from the display on your website.
Title Bar Label: The text that will display on the title bar.
Main Background Color: Sets the background color for the entire widget display area.
Title Bar Background Color: Sets the background color specifically for the widget’s title bar.
Title Bar Font Color: Sets the font color of the text displayed in the title bar.

Test Your Widget (Link): Provides a direct link to preview and test how the widget will display live. Click and a new browser will display the widget as configured. Do not use this link to embed. Use the Widget Code below.
Widget Code: Auto-generates the embeddable code that can be copied and inserted into your website to activate the widget.
Copy Widget Code (Button): Quick button to copy the full embed code to your clipboard for easy website placement. Use this to copy to embed code.
Widget Types Defined
CourtReserve offers a variety of widgets that clubs can embed directly into their websites or other platforms to enhance the player experience and streamline club operations. Each widget provides real-time, interactive access to core features. Below is a summary of each available widget and its functionality. Click the widget name to view more details.
1. Events Calendar: Displays a calendar view of upcoming events at the club. Players can browse events by date or category and quickly see availability and/or register.
2. Events List: Shows a list-style display of upcoming events, allowing players to easily scroll through and view event details and descriptions.
3. Courts Scheduler: Embeds the club’s live court scheduler, allowing players to view court availability and make reservations.
4. Reservation List: Provides a list view of upcoming reservations. This can be used to display scheduled bookings for transparency and quick reference.
5. Lobby View: Displays a real-time lobby screen showing current court usage, who's playing, and upcoming reservations. Often used on smart TVs or monitors inside the facility.
6. Availability Snapshot: Gives a quick summary of court availability for the day or upcoming dates. Players can instantly see open courts without navigating the full scheduler.
7. Member Registration: Allows prospective members to register for the club directly from the website, streamlining the new member onboarding process.
USER PERSPECTIVE
Below is an example of a widget embedded on a club’s webpage. Players visiting this website can click directly on the Details or Register links to view more information or sign up.
Below is an example of a Lobby View widget that a Club has configured to display for players on a Smart TV as they enter the Club. Players can easily see what's scheduled on each court and which courts are available.
