SETUP REQUIREMENTS
Configuring Global Settings
Follow these steps to configure global system user settings for email, text, and push notifications.
Log in to the admin dashboard.
Click SETTINGS > NOTIFICATIONS on the side menu.
Click the Player icon.
On the next page, click the Player Notifications tab.
Filling Out the Fields
Text Country Code: Used to automatically add the country code when sending text messages if a phone number is missing the +country code prefix.
Organization Short Name: A short identifier for the organization used in message templates.
Notification: The table shows three types of notifications:
Email
Text
Push: A push notification is a message that pops up directly on a player’s mobile device through the CourtReserve mobile app. These notifications are delivered instantly to the user’s phone or tablet, even if they are not actively using the app at that moment.
Each type of notification has two columns: Active and Subscribed.
If Active is checked, CourtReserve will generate and send the notification when the associated trigger occurs. Each player can individually opt in or out of receiving the notification. By default, all users are initially marked as Subscribed.
If Active is not checked, CourtReserve will not generate or send the notification, and players will not have the option to subscribe to it.
Subscribed: If enabled, the player will be automatically subscribed to receive this notification type. Players can later manage their subscription preferences (opt-in or opt-out) in the Notification Settings section of their member portal.

USER PERSPECTIVE
When a player logs into the member portal, CourtReserve displays a Text Message opt-in pop-up. By default, the page enables all text message alerts.
CourtReserve displays this popup on the member portal and keeps it visible until the player selects and saves a response.
The player has two options:
Leave one or both boxes checked, which means the player agrees to receive marketing and/or organization alerts.
Check the box to opt out of all text message notifications.
If the player agrees to opt in and receive one or both text message types, they must check the box to agree to the disclosure. The player clicks SAVE to record their decision on the platform.
If a player opts in and has the CourtReserve mobile app installed, they can receive text-like alerts such as booking confirmations:
Subscribing / Opting Out
A player can stop receiving email/text and push notifications by configuring settings on the member portal. They follow the following process:
Log in to the member portal or mobile app.
Click their player name.
Select Personal Information or My Profile.
Click the Notifications tab.
Check or toggle one or more boxes to unsubscribe from notifications.
Example from Member Portal:
Example from Mobile App:
To opt in, the player marks the notifications they wish to receive.
ADMIN PERSPECTIVE
System users can review and configure opt-in settings for individual players.
Search for and select a member.
Click the Notifications tab.
The below example shows this player decided to opt in and receive email messages. Some cells in the player's Email Subscribed column are blank. These notifications were disabled by a system user for all players at the system level.
If a player opts out of all text message notifications, CourtReserve displays the word UNSUBSCRIBED in the Text column and greys out the checkbox in each active notification row.
