INTRODUCTION
Feature Summary: Learn about CourtReserve's waiver and agreement options.
Use Cases: Clubs can require members or players to sign waivers and membership agreements as part of their booking or membership process. This premium add-on differs from the standard Disclosures tool, which uses a simple checkbox for acknowledgment rather than a legally binding digital signature.
OVERVIEW
The following features are available with the premium Electronic Waivers & Membership Agreements add-on. Review the descriptions below, then learn how to get started. If you prefer a visual overview, watch the setup video here.
Waivers
Waivers are documents that member/players sign to voluntarily give up a privilege or legal right, typically to reduce the organization’s liability in case of injury or death. These are commonly required in sports and fitness settings. System users can make waivers mandatory for bookings and reservations, and can also create event-specific waivers as needed.

Membership Agreements
Membership agreements are contracts between the organization and the signing party, outlining the terms, costs, and expectations for membership. These agreements often include liability exemptions to protect the organization from legal claims. To be legally enforceable, each member must have their own copy with a personalized name and signature. Membership agreements can be collected as hard copies signed in person or an online agreement signed digitally.

Signing Rule
To display a waiver or agreement on the member portal, system users must create a Signing Rule. This rule defines the conditions for signing and, if needed, re-signing. Waivers and agreements without a signing rule will not be visible to members on the portal.

Generating reports
System users can generate activity reports for waivers, membership agreements, or both. Go to the side menu and select REPORTS > WAIVERS to open the Waiver(s) Report page.
