Keep Track of Who's In and Out of a Tournament

INTRODUCTION

  • Feature Summary: Systems users can review and manage three types of registrant data: Players, Standings, and Waitlist.

  • Use Cases: Running a successful session requires access to up-to-date player data like opt-ins, payments, and rankings. On CourtReserve, system users can quickly access session player data and make updates as required.

Three menu tabs on the Session page display player management data. Click a link to jump to a section below.

SETUP PREREQUISITES

Before system users can manage players and matches, they must enable the Leagues add-on feature and create a league, create a session, and then create a session schedule.

SETUP REQUIREMENTS

The first step is to open a session and then select a tab: Players, Standing, and Waitlist. To open a session, systems users can create a new one or edit an existing session.

To open and edit an existing session:

  1. Click LEAGUES > SESSIONS on the side menu.

  2. On the next page, locate the session to update and click the VIEW button.

  3. Click a tab.

  4. Review the data and make changes. (see below)

  5. Click Save.

Reviewing player data

Click the Players tab to access registrant data. The table displays all registered players for the session, along with their payment status.

  • A red square in the Player Name column means the player submitted a request to register, but that request needs to be reviewed and approved (or rejected).

Click TO DO on the side menu to review all approvals requests.

Managing payments
The PMT Status column shows the player's payment status. If unpaid, click the PAY button to update the information. In the popup window, review the information, update the amount owned (optional), select a Payment Type (e.g. cash or check), and then click Save.

In the popup window, click Yes to confirm.

It is not possible to edit payment information after saving the payment record.

Registering players

System users can register players -- already in the club's member database -- for a session. To start, click the green Register Players button. A popup window displays.

  1. Optionally, use the Override field to charge a different fee for the selected player(s).

  2. Optionally, disable the email notification for new registrants. The default setting is Enabled.

  3. Click the View All Players link to search for a name in the club's member database.

  4. Enter the name of the person to add to the session (enter at least three letters to launch a search).

  5. Locate the name and click the Register button. Repeat to add other names.

  6. Click Save.

Ranking players

System users can rank players in the session. Click the Rank Players button and choose a ranking method.

  • Manually - In the popup window, click and drag the icon.

  • Seed Randomly - CourtReserve randomly changes the order of players in the table.

  • Seed by Rating - CourtReserve sorts the players in the table according to the rating, from lowest to highest.

Standings

Click this tab to see a list of players and match results. Sort the rows by Points Won, Points Won %, or Win %.

Waitlist

Click this tab to see a list of players waiting to join the session. System users can add a player from the club's member database to the list.

  1. Click the Add To Waitlist button.

  2. Search for a name.

  3. Click Register

  4. Click Save.
