We’re Excited to Introduce!

Octo’s Account Usage Allocation expands on Fees Allocation with a visual builder for more dynamic cost distribution. Instead of limiting costs to accounts and groups, you can allocate based on multiple attributes like region, source, and instance type. With flexible operators and custom conditions, this feature makes cloud cost management more precise and efficient.

🆕 Account Usage Allocation

Sample Image

The Octo’s Account Usage Allocation operates similarly to the Fees Allocation feature, but with a key difference: it introduces a visual builder for creating combinations. While Fees Allocation is limited to assigning costs to cost groups and accounts, the Account Usage allocation allows you to select from a wider range of attributes, including:

Account
Source
Region
Instance Type
Availability Zone
API Operation
Invoice ID

Once you’ve chosen an attribute, you can further refine your allocation by selecting from available operators and values. You can also add custom values with specific conditions, giving you greater flexibility and precision.

Think of this feature as a blend of Fees Allocation and Unit Cost. It follows the same process and functions as Fees Allocation but adds the ability to create dynamic combinations, much like Unit Cost. This enhancement provides a more intuitive and efficient way to manage and allocate your cloud costs.
