New features coming in this heart’s week

This week’s release is a love letter to our users, crafted with user needs at the heart of our product, Octo. We’ve carefully listened to your feedback and are excited to introduce a new “Forgot Password” feature on the login page, eliminating a common point of frustration . Additionally, we’re launching Unit Cost Version 4, offering a more precise and efficient method for managing shared resource costs—ultimately enhancing accuracy and operational efficiency.

Let’s dive into the details of these new features.

🆕Reset Password from the Login Page

Sample Image

We’ve added a ‘Forgot Password’ link to the login page to improve user experience. Now, if you can’t remember your password, you can quickly request a reset without having to contact support.

To reset your password, simply follow these two easy steps:

  1. Enter the email address linked to your account. You will receive a secure password reset link via email.

  2. Click the link to create a new password and regain access to your account.

🆕 Unit Cost (Version 4)

Unit Cost Version 4 brings a more precise and efficient approach to unit cost management, especially for shared resources. Now, shared resource splitting is handled globally, enabling more granular and accurate cost allocation. With the introduction of logic builders, you can easily designate specific resources as shared, providing greater flexibility and control.

We've also refined the user experience by simplifying the design, reducing excessive modal stacking for a smoother workflow. Additionally, unit creation now seamlessly includes unit item creation, streamlining the process for greater efficiency.

Here’s a closer look at the improvements:

  1. Accessing Unit Cost Creation through Cost Group Creation: Buttons are now within your reach, making unit cost access more efficient.

  2. Create a Unit and add unit items: Create unit and unit item in one go. Another stack no more for your first unit item. 😉

  3. Manage Shared Resources: Now here’s the best part, globalize and granularize your shared resources for a more accurate view of your costs.

  4. Allocate Shared Resources: Finally, allocate percentages of these shared resources to your unit item.
