Links to sections in the costbook from the book's table of contents.

Shortcut: Ctrl+S

Or Under Main Menu > View Menu, click:

In the Contents Window:

  1. Scroll down the table of contents.

  2. Click the section you want to access, and the costbook will jump to that section.

  3. Or type a search term to locate a specific section in the table of contents.

  4. Click the right arrow or press Enter to begin the search.

  5. Click the search result of your choice to highlight that section in the costbook.

Tips:

  • To search for whole words only, put a space before and after the search term.

  • If you don’t find what you need in one costbook, you can simply open another. Just click:

  • A view of that Costbook's table of contents will be displayed automatically.

  • To create an audit trail for costs copied to an estimate, see Bookmarks.

  • Use the Index Window to search the book index. The book index has many synonyms.

  • Use the Keyword Search Window to search for specific terms.

  • To scroll quickly through a costbook, click and drag the box in the slide bar at the right of your screen. As you drag the box up and down, a ‘thumbnail’ will appear identifying the page and content.
