Search either the current costbook or estimate for a specified term.

Shortcut: Ctrl+F

Menu Bar Icon:

Or Under Main Menu > View Menu, click:

In the Keyword Search Window:

  1. Click a tab to search in either the estimate or the costbook.

  2. Type the word you are looking for.

  3. Click the right arrow or press Enter to begin the search.

  4. Click the search result of your choice to highlight that section in either the estimate or the costbook.

  5. To clear the search term, click:

  6. To close the Keyword Search Window, press Ctrl + F or click:

Tips:

  • To search for whole words only, put a space before and after the search term.

  • If you don’t find what you need in one costbook, you can simply open another. Just click:

  • A search of that costbook will begin automatically.

  • To create an audit trail for costs copied to an estimate, see Bookmarks.

  • Use the Index Window to search the book index. The book index has many synonyms.

  • Use the Contents Window to search by construction category.
