If your Craftsman software installation stops while downloading dotnetfx.exe or installing Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, follow the steps below.
You may see an error like this:
Install .NET Framework 3.5
Cancel the Craftsman software installation.
Open the Windows Start menu and search for Craftsman Software Update.
Run Craftsman Software Update. Windows should prompt you to install .NET Framework 3.5.
Select Download and install this feature.
Wait for the installation to finish. This may take some time depending on your internet connection and computer.
Once .NET Framework 3.5 has installed successfully, run the Craftsman software installer again.
If you see a Program Maintenance screen, select Repair to complete the installation.
