No one likes delayed payments. The Request Payroll on Crane lets every business owner and freelancer do what they crave—the ability to collect payments as and when due. In this piece, we’ll explain how to use Request Payroll to prevent delayed payments.
What’s Request Payroll?
It’s Crane’s invoicing system. It lets you send a commercial bill highlighting the prices of products and services you render through email. Its benefits include:
1. Avoiding payment delays
Proactive bill notification is crucial to receiving your money in the nick of time. The Request Payroll sends reminders to clients to pay you in time.
2. Keep track of payments
Everyone who sells a product or renders a service must balance their books routinely. It helps them understand the financial state of the business. Request Payroll compiles a history of your payments, making it easy to analyse your income.
3. Preventing bill disputes
Sometimes, clients drag payments because they’re unsure of their bills. Request Payroll ends that—it specifies the amount they need to pay in clear terms.

Besides Request Payroll, you can use these methods to receive money from international clients on Crane:
Regular Crypto Deposit: It lets you receive crypto directly into your dedicated Crane wallet. You can subsequently withdraw the crypto to your local bank account. It works like this on Crane: send crypto wallet address to client > receive crypto in your Crane wallet > convert the crypto in your Crane wallet to naira > send the naira to your local bank account.
Bank Direct: Bank Direct removes the conversion process of receiving crypto on Crane. It allows you to receive crypto directly into your local account. It works like this: copy and send a crypto wallet address to your client > receive the naira equivalent of your crypto in your local bank account.
The Bank Direct option is for you if you don’t want to interface with the crypto market.
