QuickBooks Desktop character limits.

Updated this week

There are some character limitations that QuickBooks puts upon our integration.

CRO doesn't mind if you have long Location Names, for example, and neither does QuickBooks. However, when an invoice and customer are sent from CRO to your QuickBooks, there is a restriction on not having more than a certain number of characters in any given field. Email addresses, phone numbers, and even location addresses need to conform to the QB restrictions.

CRO will do what it can to help you with fields that are too long, but it's important to know what each of the character limits are so you can be prepared.

Intuit (the company behind QuickBooks) has provided a full breakdown of the maximum number of characters each field can have to ensure your invoices are processed successfully.

To see Intuit's up-to-date list of the character limits for each field, you can click here to go directly to their website to double check.

As always, if you have any questions (that CRO can help with!) when it comes to character limits, never hesitate to reach out and let us know at 1-844-276-2467.
