GMX.io Referral Code "PRO": What It Gives You and Where to Enter It (2026)

The GMX.io referral code is PRO, and it gives you a 10% discount on the position fee for leveraged trading on GMX V2. You add it with the link app.gmx.io/trade/?ref=PRO or by hand on the GMX Referrals page. The code becomes active at your first order with a valid code. Checked on 12 October 2026 against the GMX docs.

GMX referral code PRO card that shows the 10% discount on GMX position fees

GMX referral code PRO: 10% off position fees. GMX takes the discount off the position fee when your order executes. You have nothing to claim later.

What does GMX referral code PRO give you?

GMX referral code PRO gives you a 10% discount on the position fee of each leveraged trade. The position fee applies when you open, close, increase or partially decrease a position. An on-chain read of the GMX ReferralStorage contracts on 12 October 2026 showed a 10% trader discount for PRO on Arbitrum, Avalanche and MegaETH.

The table gives the main facts about the code.

The base position fee is 0.04% or 0.06% of the position size. With PRO, those rates become 0.036% and 0.054%. Our GMX fee breakdown with code PRO explains when each rate applies.

What PRO does not reduce

GMX code PRO reduces one cost only, which is the position fee. The GMX docs say that referral rewards and discounts do not apply to borrow fees or funding fees. Both of those fees continue while your position stays open.

Do not expect a discount on swap fees, on the network fee or on price impact. The docs connect the trader discount to the opening and closing fees for leveraged trading. The sources list no discount on those costs.

The discount also does not go back in time. A trade that executed before PRO became active on your wallet keeps the fee that you paid.

Does any GMX code give more than 10%?

No GMX referral code in the public tiers gives a trader more than 10%. The docs list three standard tiers. Tier 1 codes give traders 5%. Tier 2 and Tier 3 codes give traders 10%.

The higher numbers that you can see are affiliate rewards, not trader discounts. A Tier 3 affiliate earns 15% of the opening and closing fees of referred traders. GMX pays that reward from the position fee, and the reward does not raise your fee.

The docs also mention partner tiers, such as Tier 4, that GMX Partners assign case by case. The docs give no trader discount figure for those tiers. If a page promises you more than 10% off GMX fees, compare its claim with the docs first.

Where do you enter the GMX referral code?

You enter GMX code PRO in one of two places: the referral link or the manual field on the Referrals page. Both routes lead to the same 10% discount.

The referral link. When you open app.gmx.io/trade/?ref=PRO, GMX stores the code in your browser. GMX then writes the code to the contract at your first order with a registered and valid code. You do not type anything. The browser stores the code, so open the link in the browser where you trade.

The manual field. The GMX app has a Referrals page at app.gmx.io/referrals/traders. Its Trader Benefits tab lets you enter a referral code. The app shows three steps: "Connect wallet", "Enter referral code" and "Start trading". Type PRO there, in upper case.

Codes on GMX are case-sensitive. A code can have up to 20 characters. A code in lower case is a different code, so check the letters before you confirm.

Link or manual field: which one should you use?

Use the GMX referral link if your wallet has not placed an order on GMX yet. The link needs no typing, and the code goes on-chain with your first order.

Use the manual field on the Trader Benefits tab if you already traded without a code. Enter PRO before your next order. The discount then applies to later orders, not to past trades.

Our full guide to using GMX referral code PRO gives each step from wallet to first order. It also shows how to confirm the active code.

Do you need to add PRO on each network?

Yes, GMX asks you to apply a referral code on each network separately. The app FAQ says so for traders who use both Arbitrum and Avalanche. A code on one network does not carry over to the other.

The GMX docs list ReferralStorage contracts for Arbitrum, Avalanche and MegaETH. The on-chain read on 12 October 2026 showed PRO with a 10% trader discount on all three. The app FAQ names Arbitrum and Avalanche. On each network where you trade, open the link or enter PRO before your first order there.

Referral code, promo code or discount code: is there a difference?

On GMX, a promo code, a discount code and a referral code are the same thing. The GMX docs and the app FAQ call it a referral code. People search with all three words, and in practice all three point to that code.

The app FAQ says that referral codes come from content creators and community members. PRO is one of those codes. The sources list no deposit bonus or sign-up bonus for traders. The trader benefit in these sources is a fee discount.

How much does code PRO save?

GMX code PRO saves 10% of each position fee, so your saving grows with your position size. Here is one example. For a $10,000 position at the 0.06% rate, the position fee is $6.00 without a code.

With PRO, the fee on that $10,000 position is $5.40, and you save $0.60. For more sizes and for the 0.04% rate, see the worked examples in our guide to GMX position, borrow and funding fees.

What happens to the PRO discount over time?

GMX keeps your 10% discount when your time on code PRO ends. The docs call the change graduation. Graduation occurs after 12 months assigned to the code, or after $20,000 in affiliate rewards generated for that referrer. The first limit that you reach applies, for each trader.

At graduation, a Tier 2 or Tier 3 trader moves to the protocol code DIRECT_GMX_DISCOUNT_10. That code keeps the 10% trader discount. Only the affiliate reward to the referrer stops. The full guide covers graduation and the other protocol codes in more detail.

Who can trade on GMX with code PRO?

GMX is non-custodial, so you need only a wallet to trade with code PRO. You do not make an account, give an email address or pass KYC checks. You trade from your own wallet.

The GMX terms restrict the interface in some jurisdictions. Read those terms before you trade, and obey the rules where you live.

Frequently asked questions

Is PRO the only GMX referral code?

No. Any user can create a Tier 1 code on the Referrals page. PRO is a Tier 3 code on Arbitrum, so it gives the higher 10% trader discount.

Do I have to claim the PRO discount?

No. GMX deducts the discount from the position fee when your trade executes. The docs describe a claim step only for affiliates, not for traders.

Do upper and lower case letters matter?

Yes. GMX codes are case-sensitive, and a lower-case version is a different code. Always enter PRO in upper case.

Does PRO lower the borrow fee?

No. The docs say discounts do not apply to borrow fees or funding fees. PRO lowers only the position fee.

Can a trader get a discount without any code?

Yes, at very high volume. The docs give an automatic 5% discount at $50 million in lifetime Arbitrum volume, and 10% at $250 million.

Who sets the rules of the GMX referral programme?

GMX token holders decide changes to the referral programme, the docs say. GMX publishes the full referral terms on its website.

Risk warning

Leveraged trading on GMX can lose your full collateral fast. Borrow fees and funding fees continue while a position is open, and PRO does not reduce them. This page gives general information, not financial advice.
