How do I delete or archive sites?
How do I delete or archive sites?
Updated over a week ago

Sites that you no longer use can be deleted or archived. This will stop them from being available for selection when planning a sampling job. You also have the option of merging sites into newer, current sites.

You can only delete sites that have no sample results attached to them and are not part of a sampling job, past or present. If you can't delete it, you'll have to archive it.

Deleting sites remove them entirely. You'll have to create a new site if you want to restore them.
Archived sites are retained, represented on the map by a hollow circle, and can be restored (unarchived) if required.

  • Click the 'Plan' icon in the panel on the left and tap or click 'Sites'.

You can archive, unarchive or delete sites individually or select multiple sites and manage them in bulk.

One site at a time

  • Click on the three vertical dots next to the site name. You'll have the option of renaming, archiving/unarchiving or deleting the site.

  • If a site isn't eligible for deletion then the option will not appear.

Bulk edit

  • Click on 'Advanced Settings' and switch on 'Bulk Edit'

  • Select sites by either clicking on the sites on the map or clicking the box next to the sites' names

  • You have the option to Select (and deselect) all sites

  • Once you're happy with your selection, archive/unarchive or delete the sites using the blue buttons

  • If you add a site to your selection that isn't eligible to be deleted, that option will be greyed out
