Continuing Eduction Within the US

While all of our in-person courses provide continuing ed for LMTs, only a handful of our online courses are currently approved. All of our approved courses are approved by NCBTMB, as well as the state of Florida.

The CTB Membership is our most substantial online course for CE purposes. The entire first year of the membership provides over 60 massage CEUs approved through NCBTMB. The first 20 week Shoulder Module itself is approved for 28 CEs, while the Sciatica module is approved for 16 CEs.

In order to receive the shoulder module CEs, the student simply needs to complete the training and Part 1 & 2 of the CTB Shoulder Module Test. Once complete, you will see a new quiz appear in your CTB Membership Shoulder Pain Module Test course called Shoulder Module Wrapup and Certificate. This is a simple quiz consisting of a single quiz question, and once you complete the question you will be given an option to print your certificate.

It is no longer necessary to submit a ticket with your CE number. You will see a link to a short form in your dashboard near the top that allows you to directly submit your state license number. You should do this once, prior to printing your certificates. You will not need to enter it again. This system allows you to have control over generating the certificate without having to rely on customer service staff, and is much faster.

When you select Print the Certificate following the quiz, the system will generate an image of your certificate which you can print to paper, print to a PDF and email to someone, or do a screen capture which will save it as an image.

The Sciatica Module certificate is generated in the same manner. Once you complete the quiz with a passing grade above 70%, the Sciatica Module Wrapup and Certificate quiz will appear and you can do the same procedure.

Continuing Education Outside the US

If you are looking for continuing education outside of the US, you should be able to petition for coverage by providing a listing of the course contents to your governing body. Many countries allow students to petition for a course to be accepted within their state, province or district. We can support your efforts to do so, as this will allow others to more easily do the same.

If you are considering petitioning your country's massage organization for continuing education approval for any of our courses, please let us know if you have any need for support.

Courses Approved for Massage CE

Our free webinars are NOT approved for CEU in the US or elsewhere, as they are regularly changing and do not include any form of verification test.

The primary online course we provide for CEU is our CTB Membership. However, courses such as the PainHacker's Guides to Shoulder and Hip/Sciatica Pain, as well as our Treat Your Own Pain Series for Shoulder and Hip/Sciatica are in the midst of getting approval.

CE For Other Modalities

We are not approved to provide CE for other professions, such as PT, OT, RN, chiropractic and so on. Students generally have success petitioning for approval due to the depth of our course content. Unfortunately, modalities such as physical therapy are licensed state by state and we do not have the resources to apply for approval in all states.
