CTB Certification

This article describes the path to various competency standards in our prgram.

The term "certification" or "certified" has a specific legal meaning for bodywork in some states, so we do not use that language in connection with our programs. Our CTB Practitioner Level has requirements that include both in-person and online study.

Requirements for CTB Competency Levels

Achieving any of the following levels allows the student to be listed with their qualifications in the PainHackers Directory (https://painhackers.com).

Upper Body Specialist: Completion of membership shoulder module with 80% grade.

Lower Body Specialist: Completion of membership sciatica module with 80% grade.

Upper Body Practitioner: Membership shoulder module, online ctb fundamentals, in-person upper body core 1

Lower Body Practitioner: Membership sciatica, knee, and hip/thigh/groin modules, online ctb Fundamentals, in-person Handsfree, in-person Lower Core 1.

CTB Practitioner (CTBP): Upper and Lower Body Practitioner requirements plus: in-person Upper Core 2, in-person Lower Core 2, online Functional Anatomy and Rehab, mentoring and checkout with a CTB Instructor.

Advanced CTB Practitioner (CTBA): CTB Practitioner requirements plus: completion of all modules in Yr 2 online. Mentoring and checkout with a CTB Instructor.
