When you disable the blur effect in PostUP, certain layout options become unavailable because the system must display photos in specific fixed shapes rather than using a blurred background to fill surrounding space. With blur enabled, PostUP can accommodate various photo aspect ratios by filling gaps with an attractive blurred version of the image. Without blur, photos must fit into predetermined geometric shapes, which limits available layout configurations.
When using static layouts with blur disabled, your available options depend on photo aspect ratio: - Square (1:1) photos: single photo, quad (four photos), or six-photo layouts - Portrait (9:16) photos: portrait-oriented layouts
The system will center-crop photos to fit the designated spaces. Static layouts work particularly well when combined with PostUP's AI photo transformation feature, since AI-generated photos are typically output in square format. You can also use overlays (formerly called frames) with static layouts to add branded elements around each photo.
