If the Cuez Gateway is included in the plan for your Organization, it can be activated and paired from your Project's Episode overview page or from within an Episode. If the Gateway is not included for your Organisation, you can contact us for more information and pricing.
Downloading and installing the Cuez Gateway
The Cuez Gateway can be downloaded from https://download.cuez.app/. In the 'Stable' section on the download page, you can find the latest official release. In the 'Next builds' section, you can find upcoming releases where new functionality is being tested - a sort of beta version.
The Cuez Gateway is a small application that runs in the system tray on Windows or the menu bar on Mac, and also has a main window where the configuration and Episode selection can be done.
Pairing the Cuez Gateway with your Project
Once the installation is done, you can open the Cuez Gateway application. As a first step you will be asked to give the Gateway a name, then submit.
Next, you will be asked for a pairing code so that the Gateway can be paired (linked) to your Project. For this, go to your Cuez Project itself, from which you can click 'Automator' next to the name of your Project. The next screen will show the available connections for your organisation that allow you to pair a Gateway (or an Automator) with your Project.
Next to one of the available connections, click the 'Pair with project' button, then 'Copy key' to copy the pairing key to your clipboard.
Go back to your Cuez Gateway application and paste the pairing code, then submit.
If paired successfully, the screen in Cuez itself will show your Gateway as 'Paired'.
In the Gateway application, your Project is now linked and shows the Episodes you and your team have created.
At the top, 'No connections' is shown as we don't yet have a connection with our 3rd party prompting software. Check out the separate Help Center articles to find out how to connect the Cuez Gateway with WinPlus-IP or CueScript.
