Manage content in an Episode using keyboard shortcuts

To manage Parts, Items, or Blocks in your Episode, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts:

(De)Selecting a Part, Item, or Block using a keyboard shortcut

To select a Part, Item, or Block, click anywhere in the element and press Esc.

  • Selecting a Block selects only that Block.

  • Selecting an Item selects the Item and all its Blocks.

  • Selecting a Part selects the Part, including all underlying Items and Blocks.

To deselect an element, click anywhere in it and press Esc again.

When an element is selected, use the arrow keys to select the element above or below. Hold Shift while using the arrow keys to extend your selection.

Copying or cutting a Part, Item, or Block using a keyboard shortcut

To copy or cut a Part, Item, or Block, click in the element, press Esc to select it, then use the shortcut listed above.

When copying or cutting, a confirmation appears in the bottom left of the screen.

Pasting a copied Part, Item, or Block using a keyboard shortcut

To paste a copied or cut Part, Item, or Block, first copy the element(s) you want to paste. Place your cursor in the element before the location where you want to paste. Finally, use the keyboard shortcut mentioned above to paste the element.

When pasting an element, Cuez shows a 'confirmation' of this action in the bottom left of the screen. If the action fails, the confirmation will appear in red.

Duplicating a Part, Item, or Block using a keyboard shortcut

To duplicate a Part, Item, or Block, click in the element, press Esc to select it, then use the shortcut listed above.

When duplicating, a confirmation appears in the bottom left of the screen.

Deleting a Part, Item, or Block using a keyboard shortcut

To delete a Part, Item, or Block, click in the element, press Esc to select it, then use the shortcut listed above.

The deleted element can now be found in the Trash.
