Collecting payments with your Curate proposal can help simplify transactions, amplify convenience for your clients, and maximize your booking rates. This article will guide you through setting up Stripe as the payment processor for your payments.
Card Fees
Stripe collects a .30¢ + 2.9% transaction fee.
Connect Stripe
You can sign up for Stripe or connect your existing Stripe account. Once you're connected, be sure to set up your Stripe preferences, ensuring you'll be notified of each successful transaction. *See below for instructions on editing your Stripe preferences.
Navigate to Settings > Payments or click HERE to edit your payment settings.
Select the "Connect" button to get started.
Enter your email address and select "Continue."
You will be guided through several steps, follow the prompts.
You may be sent back to Settings > Payments, select "Continue Onboarding" for the next steps needed. **This may happen several times based on what is needed to set up your Stripe account.
When this process is complete and you are connected you will see the option to disconnect.
CONGRATULATIONS! You're connected and ready to start accepting payments!
When you connect your payment processor, your events will be seamlessly updated to accept payments automatically. You can manually control this from within each event.

Payment Notifications
For Payment notifications we have two options:
Curate Notifications
Once Stripe has been connected, you can navigate to the Settings - Notifications page and activate the Send Email Receipts toggle as seen below. The owner of the event will also receive an email notification as well!
Stripe Notifications
With your Stripe connected you're ready to accept payments. Your clients will receive a Stripe receipt when a payment is made. You may need to update your communication preferences in Stripe to be notified of every successful payment.
Navigate to the Stripe Dashboard www.dashboard.stripe.com and login. **Click HERE for a shortcut if logged in.
Select the gear icon at the top right of the page and select "Profile"
In the middle of the page there is a link to edit your Communication Preferences.
Select to turn on notifications for successful payments.
Disconnect Stripe
You can select to disconnect your Stripe account with the following steps.
Navigate to Settings > Payments or click HERE to edit your payment settings.
Select "Disconnect" and confirm that you would like to disconnect your Stripe.
