You can make the payments section setup easier by creating a template for your payment options!

Steps to create a template for the Payments section:

  • Navigate to the Templates page from the left sidebar and click Payments.

  • Click the + New template button on the top right corner of the page and select Payments template.

  • This will load the New Payments template page.

  • For the "Template Name", this is where you can name the template so it's easy to find later if you have more than one in the system.

  • For the Description box, please add scheduled payments in the same manner of how it's done within a proposal by clicking the Add scheduled payment link. You can add as many as you need.

  • The description box will update to show the payment option. From there, three options are available.

    • Renaming the Payment: If you have more than one scheduled payment, you can rename them to say something like Deposit, first payment or final payment. Click the name of the payment to edit the name field.

    • Amount Due: Clicking into the amount due portion of the payment will display three options. Percentage, Custom or Divide.

    • Percentage is the most commonly used feature as it will allow you split the total by a predetermined percentage of the total.

    • Custom allows you to enter a custom amount. Note: When using this option, please double check that the Amount Due section equals the Balance Due section. If they do not match, you will not be able to publish the proposal until the mismatch in numbers have been corrected.

    • Divide is also popular as the remaining total balance will be divided equally amount any remaining payments that are left to be made.

  • Additionally, you have the ability to remove a scheduled payment by clicking the three dots and selecting "Remove scheduled payment"

  • Don't forget to save your work! We have a create button on the top right of the page.

  • We'll also share a warning message if you try to navigate away without saving.

How do I use my newly created Payment Template?

  • Navigate to the Events page and select the event where you would like to use a template.

  • Click into your Workroom

  • Click Payments from the navigation bar across the top.

  • Click the Templates button on the top right of the screen.

  • A pop up box will appear. Select the template from the listed options.

  • You're good to go! The template will now be in place and feel free to make any edits to customize it for this particular proposal as needed.

    Note: Making changes to the template once it's placed within a proposal will not change the template. To make changes to the template, please navigate back to the Templates page.
