Categories can be located on the Settings - General tab under the Categories section

Note: If you make any changes, don't forget to click the Save button on the top right corner for the following instructions!

Adding, Editing & Archiving Categories

Once you locate the Categories section it's easy to make changes. If you would like to edit the name of a Categories, simply click on the name and begin editing it. To add a new category, locate and click the Add category link at the bottom of the section.

You may also choose to archive a category if you plan to no longer use it by clicking the three dots and selecting Archive category from the side of the category name.

You may also un-archive a category by clicking into the Archived Categories subtab

Next click thew same three dots to select the option titled Restore category to revive it.

Applying a Category to a Product, Component or a Rental

You may apply a category to a product, component or a rental by first navigating to their sections within Curate. All three can be located on the Catalog page.

Applying a category to a single item: If your adding a new item you will have the change to select a category during the creation process. If the item already exists in the system, you may locate the item and click the item name. Both will have the option shown in the screenshot below:

Bulk uploading Products and Components with categories: If you haven't uploaded products or components yet, you can include categories as part of bulk upload process. Here's a full write up on how bulk importing works.

At this time we don't have a way to bulk update to current Products, Component and Rentals within the UI. If you need assistance doing this, please reach out to us via Support chat.
