Before getting started
You will need to head over to the Branding Centre and create your Branding Bar design. Ensure that your Branding Bar includes high-quality images and complies with your organisation's design guidelines for the best visual outcome.
Branding bars are an essential feature for maintaining consistent branding across your social media posts. Ensure that your design aligns with your organisation's branding guidelines and includes updated logos or visuals as needed.
Add your branding bar to the Autopilot Settings.
Step 1.
Head over to Autopilot in your main menu, where you can configure your Autopilot. You can also directly access the Autopilot page using this link.
Make sure that you have selected the desired social media platforms you want to post to using Autopilot and have filled out steps 1 through 4.
Step 2:
Scroll down to Step #5, labelled 'Branding Bars', and locate the 'Change settings' button near the bottom of the page before proceeding.
All your selected social profiles should appear under Step #5. You can either choose to apply an existing Branding Bar to all your social media profiles or select which profiles you want your Branding Bar to appear on with the drop-down option located on the right side. For universal branding, choose 'Apply to all'; for channel-specific branding, toggle the dropdown to customise for each profile.
For example, if you want to maintain a consistent look across all platforms, select 'Apply to all'. If you prefer to tailor branding for specific channels, use the dropdown to customise each profile individually.
Step 3.
Once you finish, make sure that all your Autopilot settings check out and then click on 'Update Autopilot' to save your changes. You're done!
Adding Branding Bars to Manually Created Posts
When creating posts manually in Social Studio, you can add a branding bar at the end of the post creation process. This option is highlighted in the post creation interface.
ALREADY SET UP AUTOPILOT AND WANT TO ADD BRANDING BARS AFTER?
Once you've added your branding bars to your Autopilot settings, reset your Autopilot schedule after saving your Autopilot settings. By recreating your Autopilot schedule, the changes you've made to your Autopilot settings will apply to the newly recreated schedule. You'll need to follow this step to make sure the changes you've made apply.
If your branding bar isn’t appearing on scheduled posts, ensure the branding bar is selected in the Autopilot settings. Additionally, recreate the schedule for the current month by navigating to the History section in Autopilot, clicking 'View Posts' next to the current month, and selecting 'Recreate'. Note that significant edits to the current month's posts will be lost when you recreate the schedule.
For how to recreate your Autopilot schedule, please click here.
Note: You can only recreate schedules for current and upcoming months. Past months cannot be recreated.
