New to exercise, start slow!

It's never too late to start 🙂!

You should still target 45mins of activity daily.  The important thing is to start gradually and with some light activity. Just a brisk walk is a great way to start. The goal is to make some activity a part of your lifestyle.  As you get comfortable with light exercise, you can start adding a little bit of more active work into the session - like some jump rope or jogging.

As an example, if you start with 45mins of brisk walks for a week, you can then try to jog for 5mins out of the 45mins and then slowly increase the time you jog.  Make changes in small increments so that your body can adapt and you can avoid unnecessary injuries.  Be sure to do some light stretches after you are done.

Once you feel comfortable, try something new! For ideas, just browse through the Activity section of the D9 Help Centre or 'Find an exercise to do' in the Guides section.
