Firstly, if you are not sure if you can or should do any activity, please check with a physical therapist first about what is advisable for you.

As you start exercising regularly, it is likely you will encounter soreness the following day.  It is important to know the difference between soreness and pain. Soreness usually occurs in a muscle and goes away in a few days, whereas pain usually occurs around the joints (wrist, elbow, shoulders, lower back, knees, ankle) and persists.  So pay attention to what your body is telling you and respond accordingly.  Ignoring it or hoping that it will go away will not help you!

If you feel pain, stop the activity that caused it, and see a physical therapist at the earliest.  Never do any activity that causes pain. The sooner you deal with it, the quicker the recovery from the problem 😌.
