You’ll need to create a training program for each of your clients before they can get started - you have complete control over their training and which protocols they use.

So, how do you create a custom protocol and then apply it to a specific client? Here’s a quick guide that will get you started and ready to train your clients today!

Manage Your Protocols

First expand the side menu, select Customize Clinic and then Manage Protocols.

On the Manage Protocols page, you’ll find all the training protocols available in your virtual clinic. By default, Myndlift comes with a few commonly used protocols for your convenience. To start defining a custom protocol, click on Create New Protocol.

You can then select which frequencies you’d like to work with. Mark the inhibited and enhanced frequencies, or add a new frequency by clicking on Add New Frequency.

Our system ranges from 1 - 40 Hz. Enter the frequency interval in the Low and High fields. Make sure you provide a good title and description, as this will be shown in the app for relevant clients who will train this frequency. Click on SAVE to continue. You may later use this custom frequency in any custom protocol that you create.

Then go ahead and select the relevant frequencies, name your custom protocol and click on SAVE to continue.

On this page, you must define the success rate for each trained frequency. The higher the number, the easier it will be for your client to achieve the threshold. Once you meet the conditions to continue, click SAVE SUCCESS RATES.

Your custom protocol is now saved and you may find it in the Manage Protocols section.

Creating a program

To add this protocol to a specific client, expand the side menu, click on Clients and choose the client. Then go ahead and click Create Program.

You may now select your saved protocol from the drop-down menu, determine the number of rounds and their duration, and whether you’d like your client to train with eyes open or closed.

Click next to determine the active and reference training channels. You may only choose one active channel and one reference channel per training protocol.

Once you’ve hit ‘set program’, you can choose whether you’d like to get notified when your client starts their activity, and of course, you can always go back and edit the program settings.

More than one program

If you’re a Plus Myndlift user or above, you can set more than one program for each client and choose how they alternate between them.

You’ve now set up your client with a complete Myndlift neurofeedback training program!
